The lie

Some thoughts of mine found in my journal from earlier this year.

 4-29-11

"Satan tempts us to sin for the purpose of leading us into destruction, but I believe he delights himself more into reminding us of our sin to distract us from the reality of God's forgiving nature. So, anyone can sit in church year after year after year silently rejecting God because they believe the lie of unforgiveness and assume that He wants nothing to do with them.

  Satan is petty and pathetic (when compared to God's power.) His is a world of lies intended to drag people never into God's peace and understanding, but always away from people and Jesus, into destruction and an eternity without Him.

  If you think closely about the lie you see that it is absurd, bizarre, pathetic, suffocating, and just plain fake. To be lead to death and hell for a lie?

  God loves us. This truth needs to be preached at church (and everywhere) over and over and over again until people "get" it. "
