My Food Facts

1. I don't like sweet tea. I mean, someone took something hot, made it cold, and then added a bunch of sugar. It's weird. I have spent many years drinking sweet tea, but I have sinced change my mind about it. I like to think of my opinion as informed.

2. Cold meat is better than hot meat.

3. Pancakes, not waffles.

4. I can handle a whole grapefruit at once, but it takes the enamel off of my teeth.

5. I don't eat pork. I stopped eating this in 2009 while I was working for some Islamic Pakistanis. I don't think I will ever go back.

6. My dessert of choice is probably a chocolate brownie with a cup of hot cocoa.

7. I crave sugar in the mornings and fat at night. And by the way, everyone craves sugar and fats. So stop judging.

8. Hummus is a good food. I am not admitting to a food fetish, but if I were, hummus would be it.
9. Banana is the best fruit.

10. The most expensive meal I ever ate was at Nikolai's Roof in Atlanta, the night I was engaged. I can hardly remember now what it was we were eating then. I think the chef's experience was what made the food taste "quality."

11. I love to make a salad and serve that in a big bowl at the dinner table.

12. I would rather bake a potatoe or heat up some soup than cook an extravagant meal that will take me two hours.

13. When I am cooking an extravagant meal, it is not fun to be around me because I tend to be an anal perfectionist about the recipe, about my dishes, about everything. And in the middle of making the extravagant meal, I get discouraged and lose interest. And then I start whining. Hence the fact, simple is best.

14. I stay away from spicy foods. Sure, the taste is enticing. But the spices and my white girl intestines react in explosions. Do you get my picture? Maybe my Pakistani friends are able to handle spicy, but I can't.
15. Splenda is awful, stevia is wonderful.

16. I love the vegetables that are the most colorful. They contain the most sugar! Red bell peppers are my favorite, then carrots, then tomatoes.

17. I don't drink alcohol.

18. The only food that I will personally consider "healthy" is a vegetable or a fruit.

19. I eat breakfast always, always, always. At the table.

20. I would like to try beets someday.

21. I dislike zucchini.

22. Cilantro is one of the greatest tastes ever.

23. Cheddar is my favorite cheese.

24. For my last birthday, I was asked what I wanted, and I said, "a fruit basket." I was laughed at, of course. But, come on, wouldn't that be a great gift? =)

25. Sushi is worth going out to eat for.
